Our Ethos

We love teaching WCS and passing on knowledge about the dance we are so passionate about.  We also believe in life-long learning and continue to travel and seek out the best instructors in the world to continue our own development.

WCS is more than just a dance; it is a community that has provided us with amazing friends.  Our community has people from a wide range of backgrounds and ages, and we believe that it is one of the most inclusive dance communities you can find (although we may be a little biased!).

Whilst we love to learn and improve our dancing, the main reason that we dance WCS is to have fun! Whether we are traveling to dance events or enjoying social dancing at class or local events, WCS is a dance that keeps people interested even after many years.

Steve & Kate

Steve & Kate have been dancing WCS for over 10 years and are considered to be one of the top WCS teaching couples in the UK.  They are both active competitors in WCS with multiple achievements to their name and they continue to compete all over the world in social dance competitions.  Over the last couple of years, they have been developing their dancing using routines choreographed by Jordan & Tatiana and they are now team directors of the London JT Swing Team.  Although not full-time WCS professionals, they travel across Europe judging competitions and teaching workshops. Steve and Kate are known for their relaxed, technical teaching style where Kate often has to suffer Steve’s ‘dry’ sense of humour!
